  • What is a Neurotoxin?

    When we say “toxin” it sound a little bit scary, however neurotoxins are essentially a purified protein injected into the muscle to moderate and relieve muscle movement. Neurotoxins have been clinically trialed and studied, has been FDA approved, and they rank as the most favored non-surgical treatment in the United States.

  • How can I prepare for my BOTOX appointment?

    We recommend discontinuing or reducing the use of any blood thinners (with the approval of your medical provider) for 1 week prior to your scheduled treatment (alcohol can also act as a blood thinner). If you have an upcoming event, please plan an appointment about 2 weeks in advance. During your visit, we will provide aftercare instructions.

  • When will I see results?

    Although Botox starts to kick in in 24 - 72 hours, it can take up to 2 weeks to see the full result. After 2 weeks we would love to hear how your results measure up to your expectations – this helps us to tailor your treatment plan.

  • Will I need time to recover?

    There is virtually no down-time with BOTOX injections. You can even get BOTOX on your lunch break! Mild discomfort, headache, and minimal bruising after your treatment are common.

  • How long do BOTOX results last?

    Results from BOTOX are not permanent. Every patient is different and will having different longevity, however, results typically last about 3-6 months. Most patients will need to be seen quarterly for treatment and prevention.

  • Will BOTOX hurt?

    Botox is relatively painless! It is several little pokes using the smallest needle out there. The whole treatment takes less than 20 minutes total.

  • Will I look crazy with BOTOX?

    Not at all! We always say that Botox isn't supposed to make you look like a different person, its intention is to make you look refreshed, smoothed, and glowing while turning back the hands of time.

LIP FILLER FAQ

  • How can I prepare for my filler appointment?

    We recommend discontinuing or reducing the use of any blood thinners (with the approval of your medical provider) for 1 week prior to your scheduled treatment (alcohol can also act as a blood thinner).   • When will I see results?

    Results are visible immediately after treatment. The healing process then begins which can involve swelling and possible bruising for 3-7 days. Final results show in about 2-3 weeks.

  • Will I need time to recover?

    Bruising and swelling are likely and can last up to 7 days. It can be treated with intermittent cold compress. I always remind my clients DON’T PANIC, final results will not be present for AT LEAST a week.

    If you have an upcoming event, please plan an appointment about 2 weeks in advance.

  • How long do the results last?

    This can depend on the product and the patient. Most lip fillers last 9-12 months. Some see results up to 18 months.

  • Will Lip filler hurt?

    There is minimal discomfort. You can be given an anesthetic to numb the area prior to injection upon request. Many filler products also contain lidocaine, a mild anesthetic, which is intended to help minimize discomfort during and after your treatment.
